Mary Anne sits curled in a corner of the shower stall.
I can't do it, and as for you
Her clothes are in a soggy pile at the other end of the shower. She's contemplating burning them later, when she gets out.
Can you in good conscience even ask me to
If she gets out.
Cause what do you care about the great divide
The water is freezing but that's not why she's shaking.
As long as you come down on the winner's side

And if her dreams are dark, she doesn't remember them when she wakes.
It's a night for small favors.
