As a rule, Mary Anne doesn't sleep with her head under the pillow. That's useful weapon storage space and sleeping with your face near a knife is just silly.
But when you're trying to avoid that damn ray of light that keeps sneaking in through the blinds and stabbing you in the eye, and you're not inclined to get out of bed and draw the curtains, under the pillow is the best option. The knife has been knocked to the floor in the course of this exercise, and she is muttering insulting things about the sun under her breath.
Any possible discomfort or annoyance this may be causing her bedmate has not been taken into consideration.

Said bedmate is quite capable of sleeping through all matter of disturbances when she wants to. Raging bears struggled to rouse her once, and recently it has been proved that she can even nap through violent earthquakes.
"..Ugh."
Discounting those affected by enchanted needle pricks, Goldilocks really is a heavyweight in the fairy tale deep sleepers heirarchy.
"F'fucks sake..."
But there's just something about unfamiliar bedsbeds that aren't just rightthat stops her from dropping into her regular comatose sleep. So it is that she's brought around to near consciousness by the exasperated jerks and agitated mutters of her sleeping partner. And she's not at all happy about it.
"Oi! Fucking quit it, will you!"
It doesn't matter what time it is. It's too early!

There is no giggling coming from beneath the pillow.
None.
no subject
Right. No giggling. Just like there's no vengeful ass pinching occuring beneath the sheets.
None.
no subject
"Been there, done that. Repeatedly."
And more giggling.
no subject
"For which I am very grateful, as always."
She rolls over, lifts her own pillow up and thumps it back onto the mattress. Some fairly violent 'plumping' commences, with clenched fists, before she flops her head back down onto it.
"But right now, I just want to sleep!"
no subject
Mary Anne clamps the pillow more securely around her head.
And now her feet are cold. Woe.
no subject
"Hussy."
The Fable wriggles around in an attempt to get comfortable again, with moderate success. Sighing more with contentment than frustration now, she relaxes and lets her eyes drift shut; and a semblance of peace descends over the room again.
"...Wargh!"
After the cry, a muffled slap sounds out from the general area of Mary Anne's thigh.
"Get your damn feet off me, woman! They're fucking freezing!"
no subject
She edges a hair too far.
There is some scrambling and a slow, perilous slide.
WHOOMCH
From the floor, Mary Anne holds up her hand, middle finger extended.
no subject
"Serves you right," she says airily from within the forming cocoon.
no subject
She scrambles back onto the bed, then dives under the edge of the comforter.

Her sudden chilly touch draws another little shriek out of Goldy. She squirms and kicks half-heartedly against the other blonde's advances. To no avail whatsoever.
"Argh. You're really asking for it," the Fable warns with mock-severity.
no subject
"S'cuse me for trying to stay warm in my bed," she counters, stealthily attempting to scoot a little more of the comforter her way.
no subject
"I'm the guest! I should be lavished and made to feel as comfortable as possible."
no subject
"Now it's every girl for herself."
no subject
Goldy sniffs disaffectionately.
Then launches a surprise tickle attack!
She's been with Mary Anne enough times to have figured out all her sensitive spots, and she focuses in on them with ruthless precision as she tries to wrestle herself into a commanding position astride her opponent. She's hooting with laughter toopart-triumphantly, part-maniacallyas she tries to deliver the playful torment.
no subject
By which we mean, she falls off the bed again.
"You know, I think I'm going to take this as a sign and stay down here."
But that's no reason not to be comfortable, as she starts tugging the blankets after her.
no subject
She struggles to keep some covers, but she's so tangled up in them after the fight that her ultimate destination ends up being the same as Mary Anne's. She's dragged unceremoniously off the mattress, and only just manages to break her fall with a flailing hand. Lucky for Mary Anne really, because she's blocking the floor from Goldy's descending body.
"Oof!"
Cue one jumbled heap of blonde hair, arms, legs and various bedding accoutrements.
no subject
Mary Anne flips blonde hair--not quite sure whose it is--out of her face and eyes her floor companion..
"Fancy meeting you here."
no subject
Once she's settled, she turns her head to meet Mary Anne's gaze, and smirks properly.
"Hi."
no subject
Mary Anne's expression is somewhere between smirk and suppressed laughter.
"You having fun?"
no subject
"...And this early."
She's still smirking though, and Mary Anne gets a friendly peck on the cheek.
"It's been a novel experience. But this is so definitely the last time I spend the night here."
First time and last time.
no subject
"Abandoning me--I knew it. However will I go on?"
Or keep her bed warm?
(Rhetorical question.)
no subject
"I suppose you will just have to stay over at mine for all future tristes. From now until the end of time."
no subject
"You do have a nice bed...Comfy and roomy."
Certainly cuts down on those early morning fights for the covers.
no subject
"Which is why I don't tend to stray far from it outside brothel work."
